Compared with ordinary gas-filled cabinets, solid cabinets can only have outstanding resistance to polar natural environments. They have obvious adaptability advantages in extreme natural conditions such as extreme cold, high altitudes, humidity, and strong dust. For example, in extremely cold regions at minus 40 degrees Celsius, the standard SF6 pressure will decrease, so it is very simple to show the vaporization of steam. If the customer wants to use it again during the cold period, efforts need to be made to ensure that the standard air pressure of the box is within the winter standard value range. Since solid wood cabinets do not use SF6 gas, there are no concerns about these details. In high-altitude areas, traditional general gas-filled cabinets will automatically shorten due to the decrease in atmospheric pressure. In simple terms, it is called air leakage. It only needs to be used within the altitude range of 1,500 to 2,000 meters. Once the altitude exceeds 3,500 meters, it cannot be used normally.
Solid cabinets, however, do not have a working pressure dust collector and can operate smoothly even in high-altitude areas above 4,000 meters. In areas with strong dust, dust can easily damage the motor equipment of the gas-filled cabinet, such as blocking the transmission gears and chains, causing the wooden cabinet to dry and solidify, and damaging the operation of the machinery and equipment. The sturdy cabinet completely encapsulates all organizations, with no external transmission system components, allowing for safe use in natural environments with strong dust.

To know which is better, fully inflatable or semi-inflatable inflatable cabinets, it is first necessary to understand the substantial differences between the two! We all know that SF6 gas-filled switchgear is mainly composed of circuit breakers and switch cabinets. The difference between fully inflated and semi-inflated also lies here. Fully inflated gas-filled switchgear means that when the gas-filled switchgear is filled with SF6 gas, both the circuit breaker and the switch cabinet are covered with SF6 gas, thereby achieving an insulation effect. The so-called semi-gas filling situation refers to the situation where, when SF6 gas is filled, only the switch cabinet in the gas filling cabinet is filled with SF6 gas, while the circuit breaker uses Vacuum Circuit Breakers or other methods to achieve insulation and arc extinguishing effects.
The benefits of a fully insulated gas-filled switchgear are obvious: The fully enclosed circuit breaker of the SF6 gas-filled switchgear uses SF6 gas as the arc-extinguishing and insulating medium. This switch has a strong breaking capacity, but the breaking voltage is prone to be too high. More consecutive disconnections are allowed. Suitable for repeated operation, with low noise and no fire hazard. It can be said to be maintenance-free for life. However, the corresponding policy requirements are much higher than those of ordinary gas-filled cabinets.
Due to the fact that the circuit breaker of the semi-inflatable gas-filled switchgear is air-insulated, the product is prone to oxidation, resulting in a limited service life of the product. However, the semi-gas-filled device also has its advantages: it is a new generation of switchgear. The main switch can use either permanent magnet Vacuum Circuit Breakers or spring Vacuum Circuit Breakers. Its overall cabinet adopts a semi-gas-filled method combining air insulation and sulfur hexafluoride gas chambers, which is both compact and expandable, convenient to use, and suitable for distribution automation.
It can be seen that both fully inflated and inflated gas-filled cabinets have their own advantages and effects in their respective application fields. There is no such thing as good or bad; there is only suitable or unsuitable.
